Hip Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive technique of surgery in which a fiber-optic camera is guided though small poke-holes (or "portals") into the hip. This technique can be used to treat a limited number of hip disorders. These include:

• Torn or frayed cartilage
• Removal of loose fragments within the joint
• Impingement, where bony spurs collide during normal range of motion
• Some infections
